Forest Bathing Terms & Conditions
Clothing and Equipment
Please be advised that temperatures in the forest can drop unexpectedly, even during summer. To ensure your comfort and safety, we strongly recommend wearing long trousers, long-sleeved tops, and sturdy walking shoes with good grip and ankle support—preferably waterproof. Because the session moves at a slow pace with frequent pauses, it’s important to bring extra layers and a warm coat to stay comfortable. Also, please carry water, sun protection, any necessary food, and any medications you may require. As part of the session includes a guided relaxation, please bring a waterproof rug (a large bin bag is also suitable) or a small, foldable chair if sitting on the ground is not comfortable for you. We reserve the right to deny participation if you are not dressed appropriately for the activity, as this is a matter of safety.
Weather Conditions
Our Forest Bathing+ sessions are held in all weather conditions, except in cases of high winds, lightning, or other extreme weather that could compromise the safety and comfort of participants. We encourage participants to embrace the unique benefits that wet weather can offer, and in many cases, the the forest canopy often provides natural shelter. However, if we determine that conditions are unsafe and must cancel a session, we will make every effort to notify you as far in advance as possible and arrange for the session to be rescheduled to a later date.
Health Considerations
We advise that participants in the first trimester of pregnancy refrain from attending our events unless they have received written approval from their healthcare provider. If you have any pre-existing medical conditions, health concerns, or are taking prescribed medication, please consult with your GP prior to attending. Furthermore, if you have a history of serious health issues, including but not limited to mental health conditions, recent surgeries, medical procedures, seizures, implants, special needs, or severe allergies, please inform us in advance so we can make any necessary accommodations to support your safety and well-being.
Potential Risks
Forest Bathing+ involves activities such as slow walking, deep breathing exercises, and periods of sitting or lying down in a forest environment. While we take care to mitigate risks, participants should be aware of potential hazards such as uneven terrain, tree roots, low-hanging branches, and other natural obstacles. Additionally, Forest Bathing+ may evoke strong emotional responses as you begin to relax and connect with your surroundings. This is a normal aspect of the experience and can lead to the release of built-up tension or emotions.
Age Restrictions
Please note that our events are exclusively designed for adults aged 18 and over. We do not currently offer sessions for minors.
Cancellation & Refund Policy
Refunds are available for cancellations made more than 7 days prior to the start of the event. If you cancel within this period, you’ll receive a full refund, excluding any booking fees charged by the payment provider. Unfortunately, we are unable to provide refunds for cancellations made less than 7 days before the event or for non-attendance on the day of the event.
Please note that each session requires a minimum of four participants to proceed. If the minimum number is not met, we will notify you in advance and cancel the session. In this case, you will be given the option to reschedule to an alternative date or receive a full refund.
If we need to cancel an event for any other reason (e.g., extreme weather or unforeseen circumstances), you will also be offered the choice to reschedule to an alternative date or receive a full refund.
Photography/Filming Consent
We may occasionally take photographs or video during our sessions to help promote The Naturally Curious through our website, printed materials, email communications, and social media.
By ticking the consent box on the participant health check form, you agree to be included in any images or recordings. Your guide will confirm this again on the day, and verbal acceptance will be taken as consent. If you’d prefer not to be photographed or filmed, just let us know — your wishes will always be respected.
We are committed to using all images and recordings responsibly and respectfully, solely to share the value of our nature-based experiences with others.
Please note: online use means your image may be viewable globally, including in countries without the same level of data protection as the UK or EU. You will not receive payment for the use of your image, and The Naturally Curious retains full copyright. You may request that we stop using your image in future materials, though previously published content may remain in circulation.

The Naturally Curious is committed to protecting your personal information in line with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Any personal data you provide—such as details on your pre-session health check form—will be stored securely and used only for the following purposes:
To communicate with you and manage your Forest Bathing session(s).
