Nature-Based Wellbeing for Teams

Restore calm. Spark creativity. Strengthen connection.

In just a few hours, your team can experience the proven benefits of nature — lower stress, improved focus, and deeper connection.

At The Naturally Curious, we design immersive, science-backed nature-based experiences that help people slow down, reset, and reconnect — with themselves, each other, and the natural world. Rooted in ancient wisdom and backed by modern research, our sessions offer a refreshing alternative to traditional workplace wellbeing.

Whether you're planning a one-off wellbeing day, a seasonal retreat, or exploring longer-term ways to invest in your people, we’ll co-create something meaningful, measurable, and aligned with your values.

Why Nature-Based Wellbeing?

Time in nature offers a simple, science-backed way to support your team’s wellbeing, with proven benefits for both people and performance.

  • Just 2 hours per week in nature can significantly boost wellbeing, valued at £356 per person per year (ONS, 2020).

  • Time in nature can reduce stress hormones by over 20% in less than an hour.

  • Nature-based wellbeing programmes are linked with lower absenteeism, fewer sick days, higher morale, and increased productivity.

  • Spending time outdoors fosters social connection and belonging — tackling workplace loneliness, which costs UK employers £2.5 billion annually.

  • Workplace wellbeing programmes can deliver an ROI of 2–5x for every £1 invested.

  • Nature-based interventions can deliver £2.16 in health benefits for every £1 invested (The Wildlife Trusts).

Investing in your team’s wellbeing has never been more necessary, or more rewarding. Even here in the UK, the NHS supports Social Green Prescribing, connecting people with nature as a recognised, science-backed way to improve health and wellbeing.

How it works

Our guided Forest Bathing sessions are grounded in science and follow a carefully designed flow that goes beyond a simple walk in the woods. Through slow, sensory-based practices, we help participants:

  • Shift from stress into a calm, restorative state

  • Activate the parasympathetic nervous system and reduce cortisol (the stress hormone)

  • Increase their awareness, presence, and openness

  • Reconnect with themselves, nature, and each other

This physiological reset creates the conditions for clarity, creativity, and connection — the foundations for performance, psychological safety, and strong team culture.

The benefits for your team

These changes lead to measurable outcomes across the workplace:

  • Reduced stress and risk of burnout

  • Improved focus, creativity, and decision-making

  • Stronger communication and team connection

  • Higher morale and psychological safety

  • Lower absenteeism and presenteeism

Nature doesn’t just feel good, it works. And it’s a powerful way to show your team you care.

How it Works

Bringing nature-based wellbeing into your workplace is simple:

  1. Enquire
Share a little about your team, goals, and availability — we’ll guide you from there.

  2. Co-Create
Together, we’ll design a session that fits your needs — including group size, location, and optional extras like breathwork, forest meditation, or foraging.

  3. Experience
We deliver your session at one of our carefully chosen woodland locations (or yours, if suitable). All your team needs to do is arrive, relax, and reconnect.
