Nature-Based Wellbeing for Teams
Restore calm. Spark creativity. Strengthen connection.
In just a few hours, your team can experience the proven benefits of nature: lower stress, improved focus, and a deeper connection.
At The Naturally Curious, immersive, science-backed nature-based experiences are designed to help people slow down, reset, and reconnect, with themselves, each other, and the natural world. Rooted in ancient wisdom and backed by modern research, these sessions offer a refreshing alternative to traditional workplace wellbeing.
Whether you're planning a one-off wellbeing day, a seasonal retreat, or exploring longer-term ways to invest in your people, you can co-create something meaningful, measurable, and aligned with your values.
Why Nature-Based Wellbeing?
Time in nature offers a simple, science‑backed way to support your team’s wellbeing, with proven benefits for both people and performance.
Measurable wellbeing gains: Just 2 hours per week in nature can significantly boost wellbeing, valued at £356 per person per year (ONS, 2020).
Stress reduction: Time in nature can reduce stress hormones by over 20% in less than an hour, helping people shift out of “always on” mode.
Business outcomes: Nature‑based wellbeing programmes are linked with lower absenteeism, fewer sick days, higher morale, and increased productivity.
Cost of inaction: Workplace loneliness alone costs UK employers an estimated £2.5 billion annually.
Strong ROI: Workplace wellbeing programmes can deliver a return of 2–5x for every £1 invested, and nature‑based interventions can deliver £2.16 in health benefits for every £1 invested (The Wildlife Trusts).
Backed by public health: The NHS now supports Social Green Prescribing, connecting people with nature as a recognised way to improve health and wellbeing.
How it works
Our guided Forest Bathing sessions are grounded in science and follow a carefully designed flow that goes beyond a simple walk in the woods. Through slow, sensory-based practices, we help participants:
Shift from stress into a calm, restorative state
Activate the parasympathetic nervous system and reduce cortisol (the stress hormone)
Increase their awareness, presence, and openness
Reconnect with themselves, nature, and each other
This physiological reset creates the conditions for clarity, creativity, and connection — the foundations for performance, psychological safety, and strong team culture.
The benefits for your team
These physiological and psychological shifts translate into measurable outcomes for your organisation:
Reduced stress and lower risk of burnout in high‑pressure roles
Improved focus, creativity, and decision-making
Stronger communication and team connection
Higher morale and psychological safety
Lower absenteeism and presenteeism, and fewer ‘running on empty’ days
For leaders, this means fewer sick days, better decision‑making, and teams who have the energy and headspace to do their best work.
