The Reality of Modern Working Life

The way we work has changed — and so have the pressures many people face each day.

  • Over 70% of UK adults report feeling stressed or overwhelmed regularly (Mental Health Foundation)

  • Office workers now spend more than 9 hours a day on screens (Ofcom)

  • Hybrid and remote working can blur boundaries, leading to feelings of isolation, burnout, and digital fatigue

  • Stress doesn’t stay at work — it affects our bodies, minds, and relationships

  • Over time, this can reduce team energy, creativity, and morale, and increase absenteeism and turnover

Since the 1980s, the Japanese government has recognised the impact of tech-related stress, prescribing time in nature (known as shinrin-yoku, or ‘forest bathing’) as a way to restore balance and wellbeing.

Looking after your team’s wellbeing isn’t just good for business — it’s good for people. And when people feel better, they show up more fully: at work, at home, and in life.

Why Choose Forest Bathing

Many workplace wellbeing initiatives focus on improving performance. Forest Bathing takes a different approach, helping people feel better first, so they can naturally show up with more energy, focus, and motivation.

Time in nature has been scientifically proven to:

  • Lower stress levels and reduce blood pressure

  • Improve focus, creativity, and emotional resilience

  • Reduce feelings of anxiety, fatigue, and overwhelm

  • Boost immunity and overall well-being

  • Encourage connection with others and the natural world

Forest bathing offers more than just a break from routine. It gives your team simple, evidence-based techniques they can take away and use — at work or at home — to:

  • Reduce screen fatigue

  • Improve focus and rest

  • Feel more grounded and present

Participant Testimonials

  • "As a complete novice, I really enjoyed my first forest bathing experience. Being in the stunning woods on a peaceful bright autumnal morning and being guided and encouraged to really look, listen, smell, feel and take it all in was inspiring, calming and incredibly relaxing. My mind stitched off from the franticness of modern life and for a while I was just able to ‘be!’ Thank you."

    Heather - Nov-24

  • "This was a lovely, calming session ‘off-grid’ - I even switched my phone off … There is a sense of awe standing in the forest and experiencing it through all the senses. Taking the time to take in the range of colours, sounds, textures and scents was wonderful and, at times, nostalgic. It was a lovely way to connect with myself and with nature - thank you."

    Rachel - Jan-25

  • "The small group setting allowed for a personal and immersive experience, and Chantelle's expertise enriched the session. By the end, I felt a noticeable reduction in stress and a renewed sense of calm. It was a gentle yet powerful way to reset and find balance."

    Lydia - Apr-25
