Forest Bathing+ West Sussex

This Forest Bathing+ session is a peaceful 2,5-hour guided walk through a small part of Houghton Forest in the South Downs National Park, just north of Arundel in West Sussex. June is a beautiful time to visit, with the forest in full bloom—alive with birdsong and dappled sunlight dancing through lush green canopies. The longer, warmer days offer the perfect chance to slow down and reconnect.

Forest Bathing is a gentle practice that involves walking slowly through the forest, using all five senses to connect with nature and yourself. Your guide will lead you through simple exercises to help you relax and breathe deeply. Studies from Japan show that spending time in the forest can boost your immune system and improve your overall well-being. By the end of the session, you'll have new ways to bring calm into your daily life.

No experience is necessary. The only requirement is to come with an open mind.

We suggest wearing warmer clothes than usual, as we’ll spend time in the shade of the forest canopy. The session will take place in all weathers, allowing you to enjoy nature’s beauty in every season. Full details about the event, including what to wear and bring, will be emailed before the day.
